Certification
With the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) I am registered as a Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA).
In the Netherlands I’m a certified accessible web developer educated by the Dutch Accessibility Foundation.

Training web accessibility
With the Dutch training institute The Internet Academy I teach about WCAG.
For The A11Y Collective I created 4 courses for The A11Y Collective: “Web accessibility, the basis“, “Writing accessible content for the web“, “Accessible code” and the masterclass “ARIA explained“.
For the Dutch organisation Thuiswinkel.org I participated in creating the e-learing programm Digitale Toegankelijkheid for webshop owners about what web accessibility is and how to start.
Open source contributions
I give presentations and workshops at WordCamps and meetups.
In September 2025, I will begin contributing to the WordPress Accessibility documentation again. My goal is to expand and modernise the information available on accessibility for WordPress developers, designers and content creators. Please read more about this on my GitHub Sponsors page.
Until October 2018 I was an active part of the WordPress Accessibility Team. For this I got props for several WordPress releases and “rockstar” credits for 4.3 & 4.5.
In 2016 Knowbility gave me the Heroes of Accessibility Award for Individual Achievement for my contributions to WordPress.
